First of all, we want to wish all of our Gatherers a very special “Happy Holidays”! Merry Christmas to you all – I hope that your day is filled with happiness, love, and cheer…

Especially after these good tidings we have to give!

This year has been an immense struggle for so many of us – even us here at the Gathering. But even though our methods were slowed down, we never stopped fighting for you guys. Life may have been our metaphorical Winnowill, but love conquers all, right? Thanks to the voices of our followers partnered with tons of hard work and dedication, it is with utmost, absolute pleasure that I give you the best Christmas gift that I can:

WE HAVE A CITY!

Thank you so much for your location suggestions, everyone! We diligently took them all to heart until the Battle of the Coasts began. After this, the group and council was officially torn between two states for quite some time: Oregon for the West Coast, and New York for the East Coast. Kitt, myself, and Mandy tossed to and fro in looking into these spots and trying to find a place that would be best for this first convention. After much searching and debate, we can officially announce that the first ever ElfQuest Convention will take place in…(drumroll please!)

NEW YORK!

Yes, you heard that correctly! We have finally selected a state for this convention.

BUT, WAIT! Don’t lose your minds with excitement just yet!

That’s not all. Now that our eyes are fastened tightly on New York, we here at the Gathering made good use of this exciting decision and have already begun searching countless spots throughout the state to have this monumental get together – as a result, our hard and focused dedication in working these convention metals has given us a potential city! East Elmhurst, New York!

AND WE’RE STILL…NOT…DONE!

Thanks to some unexpected but much appreciated help, The Gathering has ALSO located a potential location!

New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott

We’ve already had some contact with the hotel and have begun extensive talks with the venue. If things continue to work out as well as they have so far, we will confidently make the official announcement with exact dates soon. I know our sights were originally focused on a more natural setting, but for now, we believe a hotel will be in the best interest for this convention’s first get together. The Marriott may not be our forever Holt, but it is a great start, and a shining path that will surely direct us in where to go next! Think of it as The Gathering's own personal Lodestone.

If you’re concerned about room pricing, don’t be! We know times can get tight, and are looking into room packages for attendees of the convention to obtain group discounts. There are also other hotels directly in the vicinity that guests will be able to check-in to! Wondering about how you’re going to get to the hotel? The Marriott is right outside of the LaGuardia airport – only 5-7 minutes away by car! Talk about easy goings! In the event things change, we are also eyeing the Marriott's sister hotel, the Courtyard - which is next door - and will continue to check out other New York venues for a safety net. For the most part, however, Marriott looks to be a great first temporary Holt and we're just downright excited about it.

So where do we go from here?

Well, now things will start to get really interesting – but also complicated. I can’t go too far into details since we’ve still got a troll cavern worth of things to do and look into, but I can let you know that currently The Gathering is working to set up our official website for the oncoming convention – and for future cons as well. We are also looking into getting a KickStarter up and running ASAP. This will benefit plans for the convention immensely, and we want to get the ball rolling soon in order to have things lined up easily for everyone!

So there you have it. Things are starting to get very official and we are super excited about it. As usual, we will keep you guys updated on the happenings and plans for this convention as they come. In the meantime, it is our hope that you all will celebrate in excitement at this amazing news – I know we here at the Gathering still are!

Anyone who follows ElfQuest on Social Media knows how Wendy Pini is notorious sly with her infamous "*grin*". This single word is the absolute epitome of teasing and taunting from our ElfQuest mother that has kept fans losing their minds for years.

Now it's OUR turn. Over the past week, Kitt and I have stumbled across something quite wondrous - something that has had us causing The Gathering followers to roll around like madmen trying to figure it out. Well, my lips are sealed for now, but just know that we just might have stumbled across something that will solidify the status of this convention and MORE. If we can obtain it, The Gathering as we know it will take a glorious tailspin.

We Have A Council Date!

I know something you don't know...

Good afternoon all!

I have a very short and brief announcement:

I know that time has been going on without much new information, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding about this! I've been talking about having our first official Council to discuss the base plans of what we expect out of this convention for quite some time now. Conflicting schedules have postponed this meeting, and therefore delayed any further or future meetings to delve even deeper. BUT NO LONGER!

Memorial Day is going to be upon us within a few days, and I am pleased to announce that the Council meeting will be after the holiday! How exciting is that?! We are practically 2 years away from the Gathering of a lifetime, and the anticipation is growing and time pressing! I look forward to speaking with Kitt, and the many more meetings to come!

Also, major thanks to all of the love you guys have been sending my way! Life has definitely been a test and a trial over these past few months. But whatever! I'm pushing on and so will our Gathering.

I already have a ton of ideas; one in particular about a certain trip I plan on taking next year to get everyone inspired about the convention! Oooooh yesh! I am feeling cheeky!

OH THE POSSIBILITIES!!!! I know something you don't know!

Happy Mother's Day from ElfQuest: The Gathering!

From all of us here at ElfQuest: The Gathering, we want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! Whether you have a child of your own, a niece or nephew, or even a fur baby - the love you give is immeasurable in every way!

We all can agree that ElfQuest has had a major impact on our lives, and I am proud to say that the World of Two Moons has been a tremendous influence in how I have loved on and nurtured the younger members of my family. It is a beautiful masterpiece that even gave me a whole new appreciation of a mother's undying love!

Also, we want to extend a major "Happy Mother's Day" to our mother in spirit Wendy Pini - without you guiding us along the way through the world (and so much more) that you've created, I can honestly say that some of us would not be the same! Thank you for helping to meld so many of us into the people we are (or still are striving to be) today! WE LOVE YOU ELFMOM!

Sidenote: Don't worry everyone, the convention Councils are coming! 

No Worries, We're Still Working!

Life is very much like Filcher for those of us here at EQ The Gathering: old, but forever mischievous! Last month we announced that we would be holding our very first (of many, and growing with details) Council to review our plans, goals, and ideas for the direction we want this convention to take; WE ARE STILL GOING TO DO THIS!

We hear your buzzes of excitement!

Fans and followers have been asking away like hummingbird wings if we've had the first Council yet. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances and scheduling, the answer is "No". But this "No" does not equal "Never"! We are currently working to adjust our schedules for a day and time to get together for the momentous talk - until then, just know that we are still working hard and individually looking into some things to bring to the table for discussion.

In fact, aside from our individual searches, we have taken free moments to design a letterhead for when we get a mailing list together:

And, we have even came up with two mascots for the cause! Here's a snippet of one of them:

I know it may not seem like much, but it's proof to you guys that we're doing all we can to make this Convention as authentic and exciting as possible. I mean, come on! Logos, mascots, and knowing there is still so much more to come? That's definitely something worth getting giddy about, right? It's amazing when the "little things" can feel like

MASSIVE things!

Today is a representation of love - and on this day, we here at ElfQuest the Gathering share our love for one another, and of course our love for ElfQuest. Through the ups and downs, the good times and the bad, one thing I will always respect about EQ fans is our willingness to show our love and support towards each other! Very much like ElfQuest, many of you have been an inspiration, a comfort, a laugh, and a sincerely important addition to my life. I don't know where I would be today without ElfQuest's impact on everything that I know and love - but I can honestly ALSO say that I don't know where I would be without having met so many wonderful people as a result.

 

So I howl for you, my loves, friends, and family; I howl and look forward to the day when we get to see one another at the convention of a lifetime. Enjoy your day in its entirety whether alone, or with a person/s that mean the world to you in any way. On behalf of EQ The Gathering:

Time to Get Moving! The Councils Are COMING!

Petalwing may be a tad...excitable, but it's definitely telling you the truth! We are approximately 2 years and 4 months away from the first ever ElfQuest: The Gathering! Can you imagine how exciting that is? We can hardly contain ourselves. This also put into perspective just how quickly time is flying! It seems like just last month we started really putting some thought into this project, but it's already a new year!

Because time is flying by - but also because we still have time before us - and because so many fans are starting to get antsy on details, I am here to assure you that now things are going to get set in motion! We are planning to schedule our very first Council meeting, and have it ASAP! Now granted, this first meeting probably won't touch on much but The Gathering's values, plans, and goals in the pursuit of getting the Convention up and running - but we will still do our best to keep you updated on what details we do come up with. As more council meetings come, and more questions or thoughts start flowing, you can guarantee that we'll be looking to you all for ideas or opinions and put them into consideration. Big "THANK YOU!" to everyone who has already offered their services and have helped us to build a list of locations to look into. You guys are stellar!

We can't please everyone or attempt all suggestions because this is only the first convention and it will be a learning process as we go, but your input will always be important to us! I will keep you guys updated on when the council meeting will be, and once it is over will relay the basics. It is my personal goal to find a location and have a specific date this year (amongst other things)!

Also, big congratulations to our Facebook page: we are now at 341 strong! It is definitely a humbling and awe inspiring sight to see. Hopefully some day as more plans come and are solidified, we can get the news out to even more people (*winks at David and Ryan's ElfQuest Show Podcast*)!

It's officially 2016 and we here at EQ The Gathering just want to say:

From our family to yours, we not only wish everybody a wonderful, blessed, prosperous and joyful new year, but would also like to extend our deepest and sincerest thanks in this exciting yet sometimes strenuous journey as you have faithfully stood by us.

 

And of course: big thanks and love to Wendy and Richard Pini for yet another fantastic year of their wit, devotion, and beloved world of ElfQuest that fans across the planet have held so dear for years.

 

We are swiftly approaching the two year mark from June 2018, and it is my deepest wish that as we embark on this new year, we will be able to access and share more information with you all as to the developing details of the first U.S. ElfQuest Convention. Time is going to fly by us, and though things may seem frustrating or slow, or even nonproductive at times, I promise that we at the Gathering will do all we can keep you up to date on our progress up until the fateful day when we get to howl together.

 

Once again, may your new year be bright, and may you charge forth towards your hopes and deepest dreams. After all, now is the time! The Go-Back chieftess Kahvi said it best: "What are you waiting for?"

 

So I ask of you the same. What are you waiting for? It's a new year, a new day, a new opportunity for something great. Launch forward into it and conquer this 2016!
