Anyone who follows ElfQuest on Social Media knows how Wendy Pini is notorious sly with her infamous "*grin*". This single word is the absolute epitome of teasing and taunting from our ElfQuest mother that has kept fans losing their minds for years.

Now it's OUR turn. Over the past week, Kitt and I have stumbled across something quite wondrous - something that has had us causing The Gathering followers to roll around like madmen trying to figure it out. Well, my lips are sealed for now, but just know that we just might have stumbled across something that will solidify the status of this convention and MORE. If we can obtain it, The Gathering as we know it will take a glorious tailspin.

We Have A Council Date!

I know something you don't know...

Good afternoon all!

I have a very short and brief announcement:

I know that time has been going on without much new information, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding about this! I've been talking about having our first official Council to discuss the base plans of what we expect out of this convention for quite some time now. Conflicting schedules have postponed this meeting, and therefore delayed any further or future meetings to delve even deeper. BUT NO LONGER!

Memorial Day is going to be upon us within a few days, and I am pleased to announce that the Council meeting will be after the holiday! How exciting is that?! We are practically 2 years away from the Gathering of a lifetime, and the anticipation is growing and time pressing! I look forward to speaking with Kitt, and the many more meetings to come!

Also, major thanks to all of the love you guys have been sending my way! Life has definitely been a test and a trial over these past few months. But whatever! I'm pushing on and so will our Gathering.

I already have a ton of ideas; one in particular about a certain trip I plan on taking next year to get everyone inspired about the convention! Oooooh yesh! I am feeling cheeky!

OH THE POSSIBILITIES!!!! I know something you don't know!

Happy Mother's Day from ElfQuest: The Gathering!

From all of us here at ElfQuest: The Gathering, we want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! Whether you have a child of your own, a niece or nephew, or even a fur baby - the love you give is immeasurable in every way!

We all can agree that ElfQuest has had a major impact on our lives, and I am proud to say that the World of Two Moons has been a tremendous influence in how I have loved on and nurtured the younger members of my family. It is a beautiful masterpiece that even gave me a whole new appreciation of a mother's undying love!

Also, we want to extend a major "Happy Mother's Day" to our mother in spirit Wendy Pini - without you guiding us along the way through the world (and so much more) that you've created, I can honestly say that some of us would not be the same! Thank you for helping to meld so many of us into the people we are (or still are striving to be) today! WE LOVE YOU ELFMOM!

Sidenote: Don't worry everyone, the convention Councils are coming! 

No Worries, We're Still Working!

Life is very much like Filcher for those of us here at EQ The Gathering: old, but forever mischievous! Last month we announced that we would be holding our very first (of many, and growing with details) Council to review our plans, goals, and ideas for the direction we want this convention to take; WE ARE STILL GOING TO DO THIS!

We hear your buzzes of excitement!

Fans and followers have been asking away like hummingbird wings if we've had the first Council yet. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances and scheduling, the answer is "No". But this "No" does not equal "Never"! We are currently working to adjust our schedules for a day and time to get together for the momentous talk - until then, just know that we are still working hard and individually looking into some things to bring to the table for discussion.

In fact, aside from our individual searches, we have taken free moments to design a letterhead for when we get a mailing list together:

And, we have even came up with two mascots for the cause! Here's a snippet of one of them:

I know it may not seem like much, but it's proof to you guys that we're doing all we can to make this Convention as authentic and exciting as possible. I mean, come on! Logos, mascots, and knowing there is still so much more to come? That's definitely something worth getting giddy about, right? It's amazing when the "little things" can feel like

MASSIVE things!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 

Today is a representation of love - and on this day, we here at ElfQuest the Gathering share our love for one another, and of course our love for ElfQuest. Through the ups and downs, the good times and the bad, one thing I will always respect about EQ fans is our willingness to show our love and support towards each other! Very much like ElfQuest, many of you have been an inspiration, a comfort, a laugh, and a sincerely important addition to my life. I don't know where I would be today without ElfQuest's impact on everything that I know and love - but I can honestly ALSO say that I don't know where I would be without having met so many wonderful people as a result.

 

So I howl for you, my loves, friends, and family; I howl and look forward to the day when we get to see one another at the convention of a lifetime. Enjoy your day in its entirety whether alone, or with a person/s that mean the world to you in any way. On behalf of EQ The Gathering:

Time to Get Moving! The Councils Are COMING!

Petalwing may be a tad...excitable, but it's definitely telling you the truth! We are approximately 2 years and 4 months away from the first ever ElfQuest: The Gathering! Can you imagine how exciting that is? We can hardly contain ourselves. This also put into perspective just how quickly time is flying! It seems like just last month we started really putting some thought into this project, but it's already a new year!

Because time is flying by - but also because we still have time before us - and because so many fans are starting to get antsy on details, I am here to assure you that now things are going to get set in motion! We are planning to schedule our very first Council meeting, and have it ASAP! Now granted, this first meeting probably won't touch on much but The Gathering's values, plans, and goals in the pursuit of getting the Convention up and running - but we will still do our best to keep you updated on what details we do come up with. As more council meetings come, and more questions or thoughts start flowing, you can guarantee that we'll be looking to you all for ideas or opinions and put them into consideration. Big "THANK YOU!" to everyone who has already offered their services and have helped us to build a list of locations to look into. You guys are stellar!

We can't please everyone or attempt all suggestions because this is only the first convention and it will be a learning process as we go, but your input will always be important to us! I will keep you guys updated on when the council meeting will be, and once it is over will relay the basics. It is my personal goal to find a location and have a specific date this year (amongst other things)!

Also, big congratulations to our Facebook page: we are now at 341 strong! It is definitely a humbling and awe inspiring sight to see. Hopefully some day as more plans come and are solidified, we can get the news out to even more people (*winks at David and Ryan's ElfQuest Show Podcast*)!
